Several recreation complexes are found in the area, including the Kanata Recreation Complex and Richcraft Recreation Complex, which has two large gyms, an eight-lane pool, two artificial turf fields, a children’s splash pad and two basketball courts. The Kanata Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Club (KRSG) is one of the oldest gymnastic clubs in Canada.
With so much to do, it’s no wonder Kanata is a huge draw for families. Children will love Rideau Gymnastics, Kanata GymnoSphere, Kids Kingdom, Xtreme Trampoline Park, The Pottery Playhouse and Altitude Gym (rock climbing) – all of which are great for both regular entertainment and birthday parties. The west end is also full of parks and splash pads.
